MSXML on other platforms?

Is MSXML strictly for Win32 or can it be used on other platforms,
specifically UNIX?

MSXML is a set of COM objects. So in the classical sense that COM is a
Win32-specific technology, no its not really portable to UNIX. That said
MSXML does actually exist on other platforms where some active
conversion/porting work has taken place: for example MSXML runs on some MAC
machines that run MS Office.
